Language Class – Mandarin

At Bayswater Childcare and Kinder, we recognize the importance of language and literacy in early childhood development. Our curriculum is designed to foster strong communication skills through engaging activities and guided play, helping children build their English proficiency while also introducing them to other languages.

Mandarin is one of the most widely spoken languages in Australia outside of English, and we believe that early exposure to a second language enhances cognitive development, cultural awareness, and communication skills. Our Mandarin language class provides children with the opportunity to learn basic vocabulary and phrases through interactive methods such as songs, storytelling, and guided play.

By immersing children in a diverse linguistic environment, we not only support their ability to communicate effectively but also cultivate an appreciation for different cultures. This aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework Outcome 5 – ‘Children are effective communicators,’ helping children develop skills to interact, express ideas, and engage with a range of texts.
